Poem: “Welcome Change”
I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin.
I took a step and with new strength I’d never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door.
== a quote from “My Comfort Zone” Poem ==
I am a seeker of security and I’ve found it in my precious comfort zone.
Through a life cycle, we planted a tree. The tree has grown and so has its roots. To uproot is undeniably hard after years of careful (and loving) tending. Bye the way, if you ask my neglected flowers in our yard (especially my petunias), they would absolutely disagree on my uproot statement …
OK now back to my points
As life tends to be uncontrollable, I find ourselves head to head with a possible and inevitable change again. A new life journey that I wish was not our portions – to learn.
During my years of rebellions, I was once labeled as nomadic by my hopeless parents. But that was the time before I entered what so called marriage and motherhood life. Now, moving across the globe would be the least thing I want to do.
Somewhere in life, one must commits oneself and we find ourselves with limited choices. Through a decision process – that is somehow close to “the eeny, meeny, miny, moo” phase – hopefully by the next two months, we already know where exactly we should leap.
There is a price for a new change but to be evolved as a person at the end, the new life journey could be PRICELESS.
We take comfort by knowing we wouldn’t be alone as God is in charge all along. His grace has always been sufficient.
As of now, we’ve started to pack up our belongings and I’ve discreetly stored up the memories too …
If you’re in similar situations like ours, please read on the “Welcome Change” poem and BE INSPIRED.
Cheers,
from someone who seriously thinks she is destined to be … nomadic ![]()

Welcome Change
== by Gina Whitacre ==
Change is inevitable,
But yet we fight it, just the same.
Change is essential to our evolution.
Change is going to happen,
In fact, it happens every day,
Maybe it is too small to see, or perhaps we would rather not see it.
We fight change, because we fight the unknown,
We fight the unknown, because we are scared,
Scared of change, scared of the unknown.
If we were to allow change to happen freely,
We might find solutions to the problems that exist around us,
But instead, we are hung – up on controlling everything around us.
Maybe this is the problem with the world today.
Everyone assumes control of everything and does not allow nature to run her course.
Maybe this is why, we have devastating fall out from Nature,
Natural catastrophic disasters, such as fire and flooding.
We fight change, therefore we are fighting nature and her natural being and her existence
in the world that she has created by God’s hand and has graciously allowed us to be a
part of .
We should welcome change and allow nature to control our destiny.
Change is uncontrollable,
Change is inevitable,
Change is the unknown.
Nature takes pride in being one of life’s illusive wonders, the unknown.
