Fall, leaves, fall
By Emily Jane Brontë
Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day.

Wow, very nice poem, and the pictures are very nice, excellent compositions. Anna
Hi Anna, thank you for dropping by on my site today.
The pics are taken by talented photographer named Jamie Harris. I think I did put his name in my IMAGE SOURCE information. I digitally enhanced his pics little bit so that the theme would go perfectly with the poem.
About the poem author, it’s written by Emily Jane Bronte. She is an English poet who lived in the 18th century (If I’m not wrong .. ^_^) ..
Oh I so like this poem. After this long and very hot summer I can’t wait for cooler temps and yes even snow! That coming from someone who lives in snow country
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You’ve done a nice job here, I especially like the header image you’re using. Have a great weekend.
Elaine, thank you too for dropping by here.
That nice poem is written by Emily Jane Bronte. I also do like the poem, as it sweeps away my thoughts to .. AUTUMN!! (well, despite my love to autumn, there’re a few things that I dislike. I.e. the black ice or .. FLU SEASON!!)
Last summer was a short one for us in BC. I think we had more cloudy days than the sunny ones
Oh, thank you for your kind comment regarding my blog. I did some makeovers. I’m not an artist so I’m still on the learning curve chart
.
